George Lloyd-Roberts

George started his career as a Lloyd’s broker before joining syndicate 584 as an assistant underwriter in 1973.

In 1976, George helped to form Lloyd-Roberts and Gilkes Limited and became the underwriter of G E Lloyd-Roberts and others for 24 years. During his career at Lloyd’s, George served on the Committee of Lloyd’s, the Solvency Committee, the Regulatory Board and as chairman of the Lloyd’s Underwriters Non Marine Association.

Currently, he is a non-executive director and/or underwriting committee member of a number of Lloyd’s managing agencies. He is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators (A.I.D.A) in the UK.
